Curriculum for Cohesion develops a teacher-training day with St. Mary’s University College Twickenham, London

By Dr. Matthew Wilkinson

Monday, 5th November. Curriculum for Cohesion Principal Researcher, Dr. Matthew Tariq Wilkinson, met with Dr. Claire Norton, Senior Lecturer in History and at St. Mary’s University College Twickenham, and Ms. Nur Sobers-Khan, Persian manuscript project curator at the British Library, to develop plans for a teacher-training day to help secondary school History teachers to integrate elements of the Muslim contribution to the national and international past into delivery of the English National Curriculum.  We hope that the day, which is planned for March 2013, will be the first of a number of teacher-training days that will enable teachers to implement the curricular proposals of Curriculum for Cohesion in a practical, fun and intellectually illuminating way.
