Curriculum for Cohesion invited to contribute to the University of Cambridge, PGCE teacher training in History

By Dr. Matthew Wilkinson

Friday, 21st September.

Ms. Kath Goudie, PGCE History course organiser at the University of Cambridge, invited CfC Principal Researcher, Dr. Matthew Tariq Wilkinson, to contribute a session, Helping Muslim Young People Succeed: the Case for History in Schools, to the PGCE History course in June 2012.

This opportunity was in part a result of Ms. Goudie reading CfC’s submission to the National Curriculum Review for History, A Broader, Truer History for All.  Opportunities such as these are vital in Curriculum for Cohesion’s work to help teachers to maximise the benefits of Humanities education for promoting the holistic educational success of all young people.
